Meade is excited to announce the new Deep Sky Imager (DSI) III. This next step up in the Meade DSI camera line brings numerous new features and enhancements that allow the user to achieve a higher level of imaging with the same ease of use and low cost that has made the Meade DSI the camera of choice for so many beginning and advanced astro-imagers. Here is a list of some of the new features of this exciting new CCD camera from Meade Instruments:

The Meade DSI III Pro Mono has extremely low thermal noise that allows it to out-perform cooled cameras costing nearly twice as much.

The Meade DSI 3 Pro uses a 1.4MP Sony ExView HADTM Monochrome CCD that features a large 2/3", 1360 x 1024 pixel, image sensor with a 16-Bit A/D converter.

The Meade DSI III Pro Mono offers increased resolution without interpolation.

A final image from the Meade DSI III Pro is nearly 4 times larger than previous Meade DSI's.

The Meade DSI 3 Pro?s electronics and sensor provide progressive scan in place of interlaced scan which produces outstanding planetary and lunar images.

The Meade DSI III Pro Mono includes a new version of EnvisageTM camera control software with new and enhanced features.

Optional 2x2 binning makes this already sensitive imager 4x more sensitive.

The Built in temperature sensor of the Meade DSI III Pro CCD Camera provides fast and accurate auto-dark frame subtraction.

With the Meade DSI III Pro Mono, you can eliminate Alt-Az field rotation with simple 2-star selection.

The Meade Deep Sky Imager works on any telescope and can also be used as a sensitive and simple-to-use Autoguider on Meade AutoStar computerized telescopes.

Saludos JE
