 Meade DS-2114LNT Reflector Telescope with LNT AutoAlign Technology

 Great beginner!

 The Meade DS-2114 LNT Telescope is a fantastic scope for a beginner, yet advanced enough to serve the intermediate user and to act as a backup for an advanced amateur. It features a large, 4.5-inch aperture that will deliver its user stunning views of a wide array of celestial objects, from the rings around Saturn and Júpiter's moons, to deep-space objects like the Whirlpool Galaxy.

 The Meade DS2114 LNT telescope makes microprocessor technology and the very latest in electromechanical design available to the serious beginning or intermediate observer. Completely re-engineered and redesigned, the Meade DS-2114 telescope provides extremely smooth motions in both altitude and azimuth and, most importantly, includes a fully integrated Autostar control system as standard equipment.

 Autostar Controller

 For the beginning or intermediate observer, Autostar is a revelation that permits the observation of hundreds of objects the very first night out. With its wide-ranging capabilities, Autostar remains a valuable, time-saving tool even in the hands of the most experienced observer.

 With the standard-equipment Meade Autostar Computer Controller plugged into the control panel of your DS telescope, locating any astronomical object in the sky is as easy as pushing a button. Autostar's celestial object database includes more than 1,500 astronomical objects, any of which may be entered onto the Autostar display; alternately, the Right Ascension and Declination of any object in the sky may be entered. In either case when the observer presses GO TO, the telescope automatically moves at 4.5° per second and places the object in the field of view. Autostar's database for the DS-2114 telescope includes:

 Deep-space objects from the Index Catalog (IC) and New General Catalog, (NGC)including 66 named objects (e.g., the Orion Nebula), 74 galaxies, 31 diffuse nebulae, 19 planetary nebulae and 135 star clusters. Other deep-space objects, including 109 objects from the Caldwell Catalog of the best objects for small telescopes; 110 Messier (M) objects; the complete Messier catalog; 943 stars from the Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory (SAO) catalog, including 395 double stars, 189 variable stars, and other stars of special note. In the Solar System, there are 50 Earth-orbiting satellites; 26 asteroids, including all of the brightest asteroids; 15 periodic comets, and eight major planets, from Mercury to Pluto ? in all, 1,586 celestial objects.

 Additional capabilities

 Beyond the location of database objects, Autostar offers a wide range of important ? indeed revolutionary ? telescope capabilities:

 Digital Readouts of telescope position, continuously in RA and Dec.;
 Precise, automatic sidereal-rate tracking to keep located objects centered in the field.
 Nine-speed, dual-axis operation that moves the telescope on either or both axes at any of nine drive speeds, from very slow 2x sidereal to fast 4.5° per second.
 GO TO capability to any of 200 user-defined objects.
 Level North (LNT) auto-aligning technology that levels the telescope, points it north and automates the alignment procedure to get you viewing faster and more accurately.

 Plus: More than 20 other menú options, including guided tours of the best objects observable on any specified date; major event menús, utility functions (e.g., timer, alarm, eyepiece power calculations) and much more.

 Meade StarNavigator sky software also is included with every DS-2114 telescope to allow you to control the scope from a PC or laptop. To operate your telescope from your PC and to GO TO any object on the PC display at a click of the mouse, purchase an optional Meade #506 Software and Connector Cable Set. --jtyl

 The electronic control panel of the Meade DS-2114 digital telescope. The standard-equipment Autostar handbox plugs into the HBX port; the AUX port is used to power optional electronic accessories such as the #1240 Electric Focuser. The telescope's internal battery compartment is immediately behind the control panel.

 Included accessories

 Full-size tripod;
 StarNavigator PC-compatible astronomical software;
 RedDot FinderScope;

				| Hola playdog: Como te habrás dado cuenta este es un foro de aficcionados a la astrofotografia. Pues bien, un primer vistazo indica que la montura de que esta previsto dicho telescopio no es ecuatorial. Consecuentemente no resulta lo más adecuado para esta aficción.
 Saludos.

				| Hola Playdog
 A disfrutarlo!!!

 Saludos

				| Hola,

 Saludos.
